CBDC Western PEI in Partnership with Rural Action Centre – Alberton invite you to participate in – The Basics of Business Culture – Etiquette & Communication.
This FREE, Virtual Workshop will be held Wednesday, March 30th. 10am to 11:30am. Via Zoom.
Facilitator Elizabeth Pederson will walk you through the importance of the written and unwritten “Rules” for doing business with professionalism and appropriate actions for both Canadian and PEI Business Climates.
The following topics will be discussed:
- The Power of Language – The Big Difference a few small words can make
- The Power of Body Language – What is inappropriate/appropriate?
- First Impressions – What are they, How do you make them positive, What not to do…
- General Meeting Etiquette – Both meeting someone for the first time or attending a meeting
- Respect Equals – Punctuality, Listening, Asking appropriate questions, Using manners
- Business Manners – What are they? Some examples? Some no-no's - the bare minimum needed
- Greetings & Small Talk - What is appropriate? What is not?
