Project & Communication Assistant (Student Employment)

The New Brunswick Association of Community Business Development Corporations (NBACBDC) is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and motivated individual to fill their summer student position.
The NBACBDC is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help New Brunswick entrepreneurs build successful and sustainable businesses. For over 40 years, CBDC programs have become essential tools for the business community and rural businesses in New Brunswick.
Reporting to the NBACBDC Leadership Team, the successful candidate will have as main mandate to provide administrative and communication support as well as help our team with many projects and initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support
- Support team members in their projects and initiatives
- Coordinate data collection
- Conduct inventory of supplies and equipment
- Assist with activities and event planning
- Develop new tools and content
- Provide client support and customer service to various projects
Application Profile
Education
- Must be a high school student entering grades 10, 11, or 12 in September 2025; or
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution (university or college)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Motivated, innovative, creative and able to generate new ideas
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written)
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
- Experience with basic social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram
What We Offer
- Working location: Bathurst, NB.
- Salary: $17 per hour, 35 hours per week
- Contract: 8 to 12 weeks
- This position is for a qualified student under the Canada Summer Jobs program. The applicant must be a full-time student of 30 years old or younger, returning to full-time studies in the fall. The job application must provide clear evidence of the applicant’s eligibility.
