Lori Dooley of The Bridal Suite accepts the 2015 Business Distinction Bronze award from Ray Tuck, Chairperson of CBDC Trinity Conception.  The awards were presented at the Annual General Meeting held on October 20, 2015.

Lori Dooley fulfilled her dream of becoming an entrepreneur after 6 years of managing a bridal gown shop in Carbonear.   When the previous owner decided to sell the business in 2011, Lori knew this was her opportunity to become her own boss.  With the help of CBDC Trinity Conception and a keen imagination and numerous ideas, she set out to grow the business to be even more successful than it previously was.

The Bridal Suite specializes in the sale of wedding gowns, bridesmaids, mother of the bride/groom, flower girl, graduation and prom dresses.    In addition to these services she offers a large selection of bridesmaid dresses and tuxedo rentals, conducts alterations for all types of garments and operates a “drop-off” dry cleaning service.  In 2015 she added a “Do It Yourself” wedding or party decoration rental package.  These essential services are a very important part of the success of the retail communities on the Baccalieu Trail.

In 2014 the business relocated to the Powell Shopping Centre on Columbus Drive in Carbonear, NL and this has been a very positive move resulting in increased activity and sales.  The business has created full time employment for Lori and one other employee.
