We are the Atlantic Association of Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs), a network of autonomous, not-for-profit organizations that work with all levels of government and private sector to meet the needs of small business.
As CBDCs, we assist in the creation of small businesses and in the expansion and modernization of existing businesses by providing financial and technical services to entrepreneurs. Typically, our services are targeted to entrepreneurs who require customized financing not normally available from traditional sources.
Our mission is to foster, support and sustain the advancement of our members so that they can help develop local economies in Atlantic Canada through small business development!
We are currently looking for a Special Accounts Administrator to support special accounts and regional funding projects. This person will manage a database of over 2800 loans in addition to the development and implementation of any new project databases. Using primarily Excel and our in-house database this person will be very comfortable in data management and report generation.
Working within a small team, this position will, among other duties:
- Ensure loans are entered and monitored within the respective Regional Relief and Recovery Fund loans project.
- Reconcile AACBDC records and CBDC records on an ongoing basis,
- Provide administrative and database management support to new major projects
- Provide escalated collection support for individual CBDCs
- Assist with doubtful accounts and provide information to CBDCs relevant to doubtful accounts administration.
Critical to the success of any candidate will be:
- A business degree or diploma graduate
- Committed to support and assist the team approach vital to the AACBDC's effectiveness
- Able to work independently; quickly developing an understanding of expectations and delivering on them
- Able to communicate and develop relationships with our stakeholders, preferably in both English and French
- Proficient in MS Access, Excel, and Database Management
- Detail orientated and have exceptional organizational skills
- A candidate with a background in banking/lending
