Communications Assistant
Are you looking for a new challenge? The New Brunswick Association of Community Business Development Corporations (NBACBDCs) is looking for a dynamic, passionate, and motivated individual to fill the position of Communications Assistant.
The NBACBDCs is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to help New Brunswick entrepreneurs build successful and sustainable businesses. For over 40 years, CBDC programs have become essential tools for the business community and rural businesses in New Brunswick.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will have as main mandate to implement the key components of the NBACBDCs’ social media strategies.
Roles and Responsabilities
- Preparation and execution of social media strategies and content calendars.
- Create original and engaging content (i.e., text, image, and video), utilize current tools and content as well as receive secondary content from different partners.
- Create and maintain a strong online presence by managing the NBACBDCs’ and WBNB’s social media accounts as well as NB CBDCs’ social media accounts.
- Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
- Facilitate online conversations with clients and respond to messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Produce live social media content.
- Ensure a rigorous analysis of social media content performance, produce reports with analysis results, and propose optimization recommendations.
- Create, write, and send digital newsletters.
- Monitor new trends in social media and digital analysis tools.
- Participate in the planning of the marketing strategy.
- Support employees of the NB CBDC network in all their social media needs.
Profile of the Candidate
Education and Experience
- College diploma, or equivalent, in marketing and communications, new media or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in a position related to social media management.
Skills and Personal Qualities
- To be innovative, creative and have the ability to generate new ideas.
- Excellent communication skills, fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
- Expertise in multiple social media platforms
- In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
- Strong computer skills (MS Office suites, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of graphic design
- Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
- Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively.
- Flexibility and willingness to work occasionally outside normal office hours.
- Great autonomy and ability to work on several files at the same time.
- Occasional travel required for events and meetings.
