The board of directors and the employees of CBDC Chaleur would like to congratulate Mrs. Athina Hudon, from l’Igloo, for winning the 2020 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

In 2015, when she was only 18, Athina acquired the family business that her father had founded in 1975 in Petit-Rocher. Then in 2019, she took over her father's second location in Bathurst.

At Igloo, their specialties are ice cream desserts, with a varied menu ranging from a simple hard or soft cream cone to more elaborate recipes such as royal bananas, sundae, flurry or even homemade gelato. The company employs 10 full-time employees at both locations, from April to September. The target audience for the Igloo are people of all ages, whether children, teens, adults or seniors, in fact anyone looking to satisfy their taste buds.
