Kelly Snowdon is the owner and operator of Dugout, a sports training facility located in Dieppe. For baseball and softball enthusiasts, Dugout offers two bullpens (tunnels) with two baseball pitching machines and a softball pitching machine. For those who prefer to skate, this all-season facility also hosts a synthetic ice surface, that mimics real ice without having to pay the hefty prices.
Originally from Moncton, this young entrepreneur was born into a unique and highly renowned ringette family. This helped to shape her identity and fostered her early passion for sports and recreation.

As a dynamic and ambitious worker, Kelly began her career in the hospitality sector as a waitress at the age of 19 where although she enjoyed the profession, she did not see it as her lifelong career. Being exposed to a toxic environment, this young entrepreneur was left with severe depression and post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Coincidentally, after seven years since playing softball, Kelly and her partner joined a slow-pitch league which served as both a therapy and a safe haven. The duo often joked about opening a batting cage until they finally found an empty gym which would soon serve as their future space. Kelly polled her social media audience to gauge whether people would support such an indoor batting cage since it would be the first and only of its kind in the province. She received numerous positive comments and feedback and was subsequently introduced to the CBDC and the "Self-Employment Benefit Program for Persons with a Disability." According to this determined entrepreneur, "it saved her life." Dealing with trauma and mental illness is a difficult challenge and this gave her the time that she needed to mentally prepare for the work.

In her spare time, Kelly along with her siblings, enjoys coaches ringette. It is something that she has always enjoyed and finds it truly rewarding. She also enjoys playing softball and physical fitness. As a determined and competitive person, she is always seeking opportunities for continued growth and expansion.
