Enhance Your Professional Skills with French Language Courses

Do you want to connect better with French-speaking clients and feel more confident in a bilingual work environment? Our comprehensive French-language training programs are designed exclusively for the Community Business Development Corporations (CBDCs) and Community Futures (CFs) network. As part of a national initiative created by and for the network, these courses offer a unique opportunity to learn with peers who share your professional reality, regardless of the language dynamics in your region.

Our next Fall session begins the week of October 5, 2026.

We offer courses and group discussions tailored to different needs and proficiency levels. This helps offices support French professional development in accessible and realistic ways for their teams.

Conversation Group: Practice with Real People

For intermediate to advanced learners who want more opportunities to speak French, our teacher (Danyka Leclair) will lead a conversation group with colleagues from the CBDCs and CFs network. Less formal than standard French classes, the discussion group helps participants reach a new level by rebuilding confidence and fluency in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Danyka guides each session to encourage balanced participation, active listening, and open discussion of real‑life challenges in second language communication. Participants connect with peers nationwide, share professional experiences, and strengthen their ability to interact spontaneously in French.

Details:

  • Medium group to build your confidence with peers.
  • 20 sessions of 1.25 hours each, twice a week for 10 weeks, for a total of 25 hours of sharing discussions.
  • $850 per participant for the complete 10-week course.
  • Practice spontaneous communication in authentic, work‑related situations.
  • Strengthen listening and speaking skills through peer interaction and facilitator feedback.
  • Develop cultural awareness and idiomatic fluency through real dialogue.
