The Atlantic Association of Community Business Development Corporations (AACBDC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office & Business Support Assistant for a summer term position.
AACBDC is a non-profit organization representing 41 Community Business Development Corporations across Atlantic Canada, supporting entrepreneurs and small business growth through financing, advisory services, and skills development.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will provide administrative support while gaining hands-on experience across multiple areas of the organization.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with general administrative duties
• Digitizing and maintaining records and files
• Supporting day-to-day office operations
• Assisting with basic research, communications, and data entry
• Contributing to projects related to marketing, accounting, and information technology
Skills & Qualifications
• Applicants must be between the ages of 15–30 (in accordance with funding requirements)
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Interest in business, entrepreneurship, or economic development is considered an asset
Compensation & Term
• Term: 8 weeks (summer 2026 – exact dates to be confirmed)
• Hours: 35 hours per week
• Wage: $17.00–$19.00 per hour (based on experience and program guidelines)
• Possibility of extension based on funding and performance
