After completing training and certification in professional pet grooming, as well as animal CPR and first aid, Arthur launched Arthur’s Pet Clippings on Main Street in Stephenville in late 2024. The salon offers full grooming services, as well as nail clippings, baths, and anything else our furry friends need, Arthur says.
“A lot of people used to go to Corner Brook and Deer Lake to get their pet groomed. So now they get to come to me, saving them the long drive,” Arthur explains, adding that as a lifelong animal lover, this career choice is also one which brings him a great deal of joy.

In addition to his grooming services, Arthur is also an advocate for pet adoption and rescue. He regularly partners with local animal shelters and rescue organizations to provide discounted grooming services to animals in need.
While having very specialized skills can certainly take an entrepreneur far, there’s a lot more to business ownership than just the service they’re providing. Arthur recognized this early and approached CBDC Long Range for help with the operations side of his business.
